#4 REASONS WHY YOU LOVE DAVIDO’S AYE

I came across this article on Fuse Ng. And I
Felt I should share it with you all.

David O's aye... Hmmmm "Isn't that a KSA (King Sunny Ade) hit from
the early 80's" exclaimed Baba Mi as the
song played graciously to the captured ears
of all present. Now that's just one reaction
you get after listening to Aye by Davido.
Without mincing words, the talented
musician proved once again that he has got
his stakes high up in the music industry with
this fourth single from his sophomore album.
Thinking to myself what could possibly make
me put on repeat a song that encapsulates
the flavor of Juju music and high life all in
one? Well, I finally figured it out!

#4 MELODY/TUNE
Aye's melody and instrumental is
charismatic. The producer T Spize obviously
has studied the sound of the golden oldies to
create this unique beat that blends well with
Davido's style of ad-lib singing. It has a way
of making your head move even when the
forces beyond human nature tries to deny it.
From the pressing musical notes on the
guitar we can agree that this is a song best
enjoyed with a LIVE BAND. Just so know that
this young producer T Spize has the Hip-Life
riffs on-point, hear some of his earlier work.

#3 SING-ALONG LINES
Coming from the norm where a beat is
celebrated other than the wording itself, AYE
provides a sing along vibe that catches the
lips of both old and young as they hold on to
their Gele' (head gear) or do the Bata dance
while singing happily. #Smiles. Am sure that
after listening to it twice you will be able to
sing along third time.

#2 THE VIDEO
Set on the heels of a favorite TV drama
series – TALES BY MOONLIGHT, Clearance
Peters won our hearts once more and
redeemed his image as a director with class.
The story line was easy to understand and
for once, we had no naked ladies shaking
their bum.

#1 EVER GREEN EFFECT
I absolutely agree that AYE is an evergreen
song of our time that can be played along-
side legendary hits from respected icons of
the 70's and 80's…. Ebenezer Obeys Board
members, Ijesha, Side 1, or Olomi Gbo Temi,
KSA's Esubiriri Ebomi, Ma Jaiye Oni and the
rest of the others. And if for some reason
you're in doubt of what these vintage,
timeless music sounds like, here's a medley
of assorted Ebenezer Obey, King Sunny Ade
Featuring Davido sounds like. #Enjoy.
